Having wathed the film understand where the 'Seven' comes into the film as most things is seven for example the great dane is meant to live for seven years ect. In the mechant of venice 'Pounds' means pounds of flesh.
Tim Thomas (Will Smith) pretends to be his brother Ben Thomas who works for goverment collecting taxes. he does this to find seven people to help.
when tim was younger he loved boxed jellyfish and kept one as a pet, he knew that to be sting by it he would die in seven seconds.
At the start of the film its a scene from the end of the film, i believe this is called 'cross sectioning' the scene is before tim is about to kill himslef when he is on the phone to the emergancy services.
The reason why Tim is set out to help other people is because he killed his fiancee and six other people in a car crash and through out the whole film he keeps having flashbacks to the moment of the crash. From this he felt very guilty, so he decided to help needy people by donating his organs and body parts and giving other thigns anyway.
* he gave put of his liver to a women called Holly, who works the child welfare agenice.
*From Holly he got a family who were desprate to get away from the mothers boyfriend who had been beating them up. He gave his house by the seaside to the family.
* He also helped a child by donating some of his bone mayo.
*When he was younger he gave one of his lungs to his younger brother Ben.
*After he died, he had donated his heart to Emily this girl who had a heart disease but he also ended up falling in love with her. Emily had a great dane who has a punne heart disease which all great danes have. She brought the dog because she felt that having a dog with a similar condition to her she well be able to cope.
* He also donated his eyes to a talented blind person who plays the piano and does many other things to help the community.
* The final person who he helped was his best friend from primary school, he had told him his plan and after his best friend would go around telling the people he helped about what he had done. this helped his best friend because he was a councillor and he had been strangling to find work.
All of this has given a better living standard overall. He was also at a better peace of mind when i died as he knew he was helping many people out, because he felt so guilty after the fatal car crash.
